Welcome to the Team Seven Blog!

This is a temporary place that Team Seven will use until our website is up and running. Here is some information about the team.

Who is Seven?

Seven is a young, athletic, and fun team. Our goal is to be able to compete with the top teams in Canada. This is our first year of existence, but there are members of the team that competed last year at Nationals on various teams - Juce, Silver, Wuz. Now we are looking to put together an athletic ultimate team to produce a great finish for Ottawa.

The captains of Seven are:

Julie Kwok
Patrick Gatien
Stephan Thibert

What is Seven?

Seven is a competitive co-ed touring team that will compete in tournaments during the summer to prepare for Nationals in Vancouver. There is also the possibility of competing in the UPA Championship series in the fall. Our main objective for this summer is to gel as a team and be able to compete with the top teams in Canada. The short term goal for this team is to place in the top 8 at Nationals and the long term goal would be to qualify and play at Club Worlds in 2006.

Seven’s objectives for this summer are:

• Provide an opportunity for players to compete at a higher level
• Strong focus on fitness training
• Emphasize skill development and structured offensive and defensive systems
• Finish in the top quarter of each tournament that we attend

What we expect from you:

• Regular attendance at practice on Tuesday and Thursdays
• Commitment to attending as many tournaments as possible plus Regionals and Nationals
